Purpose of Tennessee Agricultural Production Association

TAPA’s purpose is to promote, coordinate and disseminate information related to current recommended agricultural production practices among those engaged in research, education, manufacture, distribution and regulation of Tennessee agriculture. In fulfilling its purpose the Association strives to:

  • Foster the safe and judicious use of plant food and agricultural chemical inputs in Tennessee agricultural crop production systems.
  • Foster improved communication and information exchange among basic industries, distributors, dealers, university research and extension, consultants, regulatory agencies, and producers.
  • Promote a high level of professionalism among TAPA members ensuring a wholesome food supply produced in an environmentally conscious manner.
  • Promote rapid transfer of research-based information and technology developments to individuals and organizations involved in agricultural production in our state.
  • Transfer sound, factual information regarding the benefits of agricultural chemical and plant food inputs to an ever-increasing non-farm public.
  • Represent the best interest of those involved in Tennessee agricultural production statewide, regionally, and nationally.
